Morningstar's eyes blazed with fury, she was struggling to stay calm. Fawnclaw was going straight up against the warrior code! "The leader's word is the warrior code," she said darkly. She had an urge to attack Fawnclaw, but she let herself relax.

Fawnclaw hissed again "The warrior code is a tale for kits." she protested darkly. She bared her teeth at the Clan leader.

"Relax, this was all an accident." But Skypond had to remember, Fawnclaw had completely refused to help the clan and completely challenged the warrior code. If it was her as Morningstar she would be exiled.

Featherheart rushed in wanting to claw some sense into the mouse-brained fox-heart, But she held her tongue and looked at Morningstar when Fawnclaw began to walk away. "I can keep an eye on her if you wish," she whispered.

Skypond agreed, she nodded respectfully. "I'll try escape with one ear left. She'll probably rip every fur on my pelt off if I am lucky." She snorted playfully. She walked over to Fawnclaw and nodded respectfully. "Morningstar wants you in her den now," she ordered.

Morningstar was taken aback, only Starclan knew what this Fox-hearted Starclan forsaken Mouse-brain was thinking. "You are on apprentice duties until you fix up your mouse-brained attitude." she snapped. her eyes burning with fury, half of Morningstar knew a better punishment was exile, but she hadn't done anything. Yet..

Fawnclaw dipped her head respectfully, But she was still furious "I'll get you some fresh kill." she meowed, When she turned out of the Leaders den she walked to the fresh kill pile and picked out a pick plump bird, she walked back to her leader and gave her the fresh-kill.

Morningstar was very surprised, half of her knew something wasn't right, but she didn't think too much of it. She nodded to Fawnclaw and bent her head down and began to eat the fresh-kill, straight away she lost her breath, She started to choke! Her breath started going shallow. Slowly, she realized she wasn't choking, she was feed Yew berries! She gasped for a breath but didn't manage to get one, She was in the hands of Starclan now. She closed her eyes and let her fate get to her.

Skypond walked in to see Morningstar but she was left horror struck when she realized she was losing a life, She looked at the fresh-kill closely. It carried the scent of Death Berries, She stared at Fawnclaw in horror, Had she murdered her leader? "Fawnclaw!" she hissed.

Fawnclaw looked at Skypond in horror, "What happened??? I was just giving her a piece of the fresh kill! I didn't mean for this to happen!!!" She yelled desperately. But she was lying. She had stuffed the bird with the Yew berries, (Alondra, What life did you just lose.)

"She's joined the ranks of Starclan, that was her last life." She cried softly, Skypond and Morningstar had grown up together! "Featherheart!" She called to Featherheart. She looked at Fawnclaw, knowing she had murdered their leader, Then it came to her, she would have to go with Featherheart to get her nine lives! Fawnclaw could do anything during this time! "Fawnclaw, I know you fed her death berries, how could you?" Her voice was a whisper, with a warning tone.

Skypond wanted to give up under Fawnclaw's strong paws. But she fought to her paws and pinned the traitor down. "Traitor!" she yelled.
