"Featherstar." Sagewhisker greeted, Featherstar was sitting in her den furiously. "Its time to appoint a new deputy," Sagewhisker announced He wanted to be the deputy. But he knew that Mistflower had been a warrior longer than him and is a lot more experienced and popular amongst the clan.

Featherstar sighed heavily, her eyes fixed on Mistflower with a furious glare of hatred. Slowly she rested her gaze on Sagewhisker "I guess so." she muttered. She nodded reluctantly to Sagewhisker and walked out of her den and jumped onto the rock. (Can I call it... Stone Rock?) "Cats old enough to hunt for their own prey, gather beneath the stone rock for a clan meeting. Tonight I will name the new deputy."

"I say these words before Starclan." "that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve my choice." She paused and looked closely at Mistflower and then Sagewhisker, but she didn't give away anything. "Sagewhisker will be the new deputy of FeatherClan."

Sagewhisker gasped, his eyes wide with horror, like a clan of cats were coming in and attacking the camp. He stared at Mistflower with the guilt he realized the rightful warrior wasn't being chosen! He wished to protest! He wished to deny the opportunity! "Featherstar, I can't accept," he mumbled.

Featherstar thrashed her tail furiously "You will!" she hissed.

Sagewhisker meet Featherstars irritated gaze. "Starclan sent me a dream that the rightful deputy is Mistflower." he continued "Who agrees?" he ordered. Even though he would love to be deputy he could not bear to see Mistflower be not chosen, What was Featherstar saying? Sagewhisker only recently became a warrior!

Featherstar snorted chasing her tail again, "Mistflower is a traitor to Featherclan! She is a fox-heart!" She hissed.

Mistflower nodded respectfully to her leader and walked closer to the stone rock. She meets her gaze steadily, murmurs of concern went around the clan. "Featherstar, My choice is no one's concern but mine. It was for the good of my clan." Reluctantly she carried on "Starclan put a prophecy among me." she paused and took a breath praying to Starclan. "When you share a secret from a dark warrior, a dark path follows," she muttered. She looked up to her leader once again "So Starclan approved my choice." she said.

Featherstar hissed "Fine." the words were dragged out of her like thorns. "Mistflower will be the new Deputy," she muttered darkly looking at Mistflower in pure hatred.

Shocked, Mistflower nodded, Featherstar indicated with a flick of her tail that the meeting was over. She walked over to Sagewhisker. "Thank you Sagewhisker, May Starclan go with you." She looked over to the fresh kill pile "Can you and F-" She sighed. "We need more warriors, Can you go with Sparrowpaw hunting? She may be a medicine cat, but she needs to learn warriors skills." she ordered.
